Pronounced aromas of elderberry
chutney, Mission fig, and dried tobacco leaf precede a palate with flavors of
Montmorency cherry, wild blackberry, and dried herbs. A little decanting brings
out spice box flavors and dried bay leaf. Structured tannins linger with notes
of acai berry, smoked game, and wet stone.
Pair with a herb-crusted rack of
lamb or and old-fashioned beef stew.
